This laid-back and trendy café is my nr.1 favourite lunch and coffee spot in Barcelona!
Cosmo is my oldest favourite in town. When I just moved to Barcelona, this café and art gallery was right around the corner. But even now that I have moved a bit further away, I am a frequent visitor of the place. Because I simply love it; the food, the drinks and design.
Located in the centre of Barcelona, right behind the University, Cosmo is the kind of place to go for a quick bite to eat and a cup of coffee or refreshing juice. The menu is modest and offers sandwiches, snacks, cakes and salads. But that simplicity does provides you with a lot of variety!
The sandwiches and salads are to die for. Simple, big and fairly priced.
You might want to share, because you should consider some space for dessert. The cakes that they bake are simply delicious.
They have a lot of fresh juices, home made lemonade, great Nomad coffee and – my absolute favourite – a delicious Chai latte frappé. That last one is often the reason for a detour in summer; a delicious refreshment.
Cosmo has a wonderful design, colourful, trendy and bright yet not pretentious hipster. I love how down to earth it is, making it the perfect spot for anything; a date, a lunch with friends or even a cup of coffee with the parents. Anyone would love it.
It is partially an art gallery, as the walls are always subject to incredible wall art. Every now and then a new artist gets the opportunity to display its crafts, which regularly gives Cosmo a different look!
